Expand our business with increased efficiency, circularity and responsible production
By 2030, we aim to achieve a 47% reduction in water intensity per metric ton of pulp produced, reaching 16.6 m3/adt. In 2024, we reached our annual target, with average water consumption at 19.2 m3/adt.
We are also working toward a 90% reduction in landfilled waste per metric ton of pulp produced. In 2024, only 27.1 kg/adt of industrial waste was landfilled, outperforming our 43.7 kg/adt target for the year.

As part of our efforts to reduce waste from the pulp production process, we are targeting a 97% recovery rate for lime and caustic soda used in our operations by 2030. In 2024, we achieved our target for the year, reaching a chemical recovery rate of 96.20% for lime and caustic soda.
